The ELECTRAVIA company designs, manufactures and markets propellers for non certified light aircraft : airplanes, motorgliders, ultralights, trikes, gyroplane and paramotors.
E-PROPS propeller's range can be used either on reciprocating engines (2 strokes and 4 strokes) or on new electrical motors.

SERIES OR CUSTOMIZED PROPELLERS
At beginning, ELECTRAVIA was known for customized, low-noise and highly efficient propellers. ELECTRAVIA's engineers have implemented a powerful propeller modelling software called LmPTR. This software is able to compute and optimize every propeller.
These propellers are designed taking into account engine characteristics and also airframe interactions.
New concepts like for example the QD2 concept are tested and successfully implemented.

WOODEN OR COMPOSITE PROPELLERS
Depending on aircraft type and specification (engine, speed range, propeller diameter, etc), E-PROPS propellers are manufactured in wood or in composite.
1/ Propellers are machined in a beech multi ply compound beam with a CNC milling machine (see manufacturing process). Then they are varnished with a two components varnish.
Leading edge protection is performed with a polymer shielding. This shielding is milled during blade manufacturing leading to a perfect airfoil respect. This material is able to absorb stone impacts and has been specially developped for E-PROPS propellers.
2/ Composite propellers (carbon 3D, kevlar, fiberglass), are manufactured according to a specific design. This design is the output of numerous test campaigns and calculations.
E-PROPS propellers pitch is ground adjustable with a easy to rig hub.
These propellers may be used with or without paint. In both configuration a clear gelcoat is used in manufacturing process in order to get a smooth and shinning surface.
Leading edge is shielded.
Specific design, perfect airfoil respect and used materials allow to get highly low-noise and efficient propellers. Each propeller from E-PROPS range is bench tested before shipping. All this guarantee performance and quality to customer.
